Overview :: There are a total of 4 subways in Newbury that are worth looking at, none of which are big but are fun to explore as you make your way around the town. With
precisions, rails for balance & vaulting and cat leaps, these subways can keep you interested for quite a while.
Conditions :: Fairly good, nice grippy walls (except on the subways the council have painted white) offering different challenges depending on grip. Again, no good in the rain however you can just retreat into the subways to stay dry. Just keep an eye out for trolleys which may get in your way. Well lit at night.
Plod :: Only plod I have seen here just were interested in what I was doing so I explained about the ways of Parkour. No problems.
Supplies :: At the various subways you are never more than about
five minutes from a shop or food. A burger king
near one of them for all the fat
boys out there, and shops within
reach of the other three.
Watch your back :: Fine during the day but best to travel during night in groups.
Well lit but watch out for drunk locals who are a bit dopey and may get
irate.
Pk heaven :: A sweet spot with plenty to do: cat leaps (take a bit of guts) at
varying heights, precisions and high rails to vault mean you will be kept busy for hours with these spots. Enjoy!
Overall :: Nice spot with loads to do, safer in the daytime, very near to food, good for 10-15
free runners at a time. |
