Berkshire Area :: Newbury :: Waitrose

Overview :: Waitrose is a fairly new spot built in early 2004 and is just a short walk from the high street. It comprises of some nice railings for vaulting, a couple of precisions (1 huge!) and a variety of wall heights to climb and vault. T'is a sweet spot!

Conditions :: Waitrose is fairly new so every thing is solid and safe although on the tops of the new walls there is a white powdery substance which makes your feet slip a little. I expect the powder will go as the area gets older. Again there is nothing undercover so you'll have to duck into Waitrose should it rain.

Plod :: No problems as of yet but there are CCTV cameras up around this area.

Supplies :: As it's an area by a supermarket, supplies aren't far away. If you want something else like Mcd's or so forth it's just a short walk back into town.

Watch your back :: Safest spot so far as it's right by a main road and well lit at night. Good for single or groups of free runners!

Pk heaven :: This is an awesome spot for doing little runs and different level stuff however, it's not very big so if there are too many people it could get a little crowded.

Overall :: Awesome spot with a great deal to do. Very near to the town and food, very safe but not big enough for a lot of free runners.
